A case packer for a major international logistics hub
KÖHL Maschinenbau S.A. had a contract to supply a complete, fully automated bundle commissioning system for a major international logistics hub. In partnership with KÖHL, Senzani developed a case packing solution handling multi-SKU cigarette bundles in a wide range of dimensions.
The supplied solution is a CPSL side-load case packer, designed to receive pre-erected shipping cases and fill them fully automatically.
Based on the sequence in which the cigarette bundles arrive from the upstream system, the CPSL creates the required case collation, managing up to 18 SKUs simultaneously and ensuring maximum flexibility in case composition.
Depending on the order requirements, each shipping case can contain from 16 to 50 cigarette bundles, arranged in rows of 4 or 5 pieces according to the format, with up to 10 layers per case. At the infeed, the machine can handle up to 135 cigarette bundles per minute.
The possibility of packing different bundle types and quantities according to the specifications of each individual order makes this CPSL particularly suitable for complex logistics environments, where flexibility and precision must go hand in hand. Its advanced configuration capabilities enable efficient order fulfillment while ensuring accurate case composition and reliable operation throughout the process.
