A reliable cartoner for packaging food powders
Müller’s Mühle is a German company with a long-standing tradition in processing food powders and ingredients derived from grains and legumes. The challenge presented to Senzani involved cartoning a highly diverse range of 10 different products— from extremely fine powders such as starch and potato flour to coarser granulates like bulgur and couscous — each with its own density and flowability. In addition, the products required specific measures to prevent product dispersion in the environment during filling.
The solution provided is a VCM12, a vertical cartoner equipped with an integrated auger dosing unit, ensuring precision and reliable performance even with the finest powders. At the customer’s request, all products are packaged in 500 g cartons, reaching speeds of up to 120 units per minute. An integrated extraction system completes the solution, capturing fine particles during filling and ensuring a packaging process that complies with food industry hygiene standards.
