Convenient solutions for retail: shelf-ready packaging
Doypacks and pouches have become an extremely widespread type of packaging, especially in the baby food industry: they can contain powdered, granular, liquid, or viscous products and are the ideal solution for shelf-ready presentation.
Specifically for this type of products, Senzani has developed secondary packaging machinery for placing doypacks in displays or trays, but also into cases. The latter is a more traditional solution which, thanks to specific design features (such as pre-cuts), still allows for the case itself to be transformed into a shelf-ready display for in-store use.
An example of this solution is the machine developed for Hamé – FRUTA Podivín, a baby food manufacturer, to whom Senzani supplied a CPWA18 wrap-around case packer. The machine has a compact footprint and is equipped with a horizontal flat blank magazine, enabling operators to load blanks without interrupting the production cycle.
For the orderly packaging of doypacks in shelf-ready cartons from flat blank, another optimal solution from Senzani is the TLCM40 top-load cartoning machine: extremely flexible, and featuring a top-load system in which pouches are inserted into the cartons using a Cartesian arm with mechanical grippers.
With these solutions, Senzani effectively meets the increasingly demanding requirements of large-scale retail chains in terms of display practicality and environmental sustainability.
