Colfiorito is a producer of dried pulses and grains, with a range that includes chickpeas, lentils, beans, spelt, and many others. The requirement was for a vertical cartoner for primary packaging, capable of handling products with very different characteristics — shape, size, density, and flowability — in a single carton format and with a constant target weight of 250 g.
The solution implemented is a VCM3, a vertical cartoning machine with a speed of 50 cartons per minute, interfaced with a multihead weigher for product dosing.
