Innovation and reliability in packaging of nicotine pouches
For more than 50 years, Senzani has been supporting leading tobacco manufacturers with packaging solutions designed to meet evolving market needs and changing consumer habits. In this context, a global tobacco company and long-standing Senzani partner selected us for a new project dedicated to the packaging of nicotine pouches, one of the fastest-growing segments within the modern oral products category.
The solution supplied is the SBNE 2.0, a side-load case packer with vertical product flow, engineered to deliver high operational reliability, maximum ease of use, and the ability to support future line expansions and upgrades.
In this application, the machine handles two bundle formats, containing 5 and 10 cans respectively, at a maximum infeed speed of 50 bundles per minute. The bundles are then packed into RSC cases in a 6x4x1 or 6x4x2 configuration, after which the cases are sealed using hot-melt glue and adhesive tape.
The installed solution stands out for a number of technical and functional features:
- Ergonomic design, developed to facilitate operator activities;
- Compact footprint, ideal for optimizing available production space;
- User-friendly HMI, ensuring simple and intuitive line management;
- Quick and intuitive format changeover, increasing production flexibility;
- Track & Trace readiness and capability for future upgrades and integrations.
The machine supports the growing demand for nicotine pouches, further confirming the long-standing cooperation between Senzani and one of the world’s leading tobacco companies.
