High-speed cartoners for frozen products
Iglo is one of the best-known frozen food brands in Germany and across Europe. The partnership with Senzani has grown over the years to include a total supply of 3 vertical cartoning machines: the latest machine supplied is a VCMX8. This solution is a vertical cartoner interfaced with a multihead weigher for dosing various types of frozen vegetables. It can handle 7 carton formats with variable target weights and operates at 125 cartons per minute, with the capability to potentially reach up to 160.
The real technical challenge of this project was the operating environment: as it handles frozen products, the machine had to be designed and built using materials suitable for cold, humidity, and washdown in the dosing area. All components are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, the main chain is a special version engineered for humid and corrosive environments, and the safety guards are made of wire mesh — a level of engineering that ensures reliability and durability even under the harshest operating conditions.
