A family of entrepreneurs, innovators, and… Cavalieri del Lavoro (“Knights of Labour”). Following in the footsteps of Iro Senzani, founder of Senzani Brevetti, Luisa Quadalti Senzani, his granddaughter and CEO of the company since 2000, has now also been awarded the prestigious honour of “Cavaliere del Lavoro”. This recognition was established in 1901 and it is conferred every year on Italian Republic Day to “entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves” in their respective fields.
This year, 25 personalities were appointed, bringing the total number of Knights of Labour recognised in Italy to 615.
UCIMA, the Association of Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers, described this nomination as “an award that recognises Luisa’s commitment, entrepreneurial vision, and significant contribution to the Italian packaging industry.”
While waiting to receive the recognition from Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, at the annual ceremony scheduled to take place in Rome at the Quirinale Palace, on Friday, June 6th, Luisa was officially welcomed into the Order at the National Conference of the National Federation of Knights of Labour, which was held in Venice and themed “The Europe we want.”
